Synopsis:

In 1923, Rosewood, a prosperous black town in Florida, was burned to the ground. Its inhabitants were murdered after a white woman falsely claimed she was assaulted by a black man. A handful of residents, aided by the town's sole white shopkeeper and a black World War I veteran, managed to save several women and children in a courageous and daring rescue effort. Based on the recollections of survivors and their descendants, 'Rosewood' examines the heroism and human drama resulting from this tragedy.
