RESTLESS NATIVES
Two Edinburgh youths, Ronnie, manager of a joke shop, and Will, latterly a corporation street cleaner, decide to brighten their drab lives by becoming highwaymen. Wearing carnival masks, they hold-up tourist coaches in the Highlands of Scotland, distributing the haul to the local needy. The modern day Rob Roys soon become heroes and begin to attract the attention of the international media, making their forays into the Highlands a carnival procession of police cars and TV crews. It also results in a staggering increase in the local tourist trade.
