PRUDENCE AND THE PILL
Made just after the birth control pill gained popularity, the film tells the story of a man who substitutes aspirin for his wife's birth control pills, hoping that she will become pregnant by her lover. This would free the man to pursue an affair with his mistress. Meanwhile, the man's niece switches her parents' pills, hoping that if her mother becomes pregnant, she will be free to pursue her own teenage love life without interference. The film was directed by Fielder Cook and Ronald Neame and stars Deborah Kerr and David Niven.
