Synopsis:

Will Graham (William Petersen) is persuaded to return to the police force by a former colleague. Faced with the grisly task of hunting down an elusive killer who attacks at full moon, Graham decides to employ a far from conventional strategy. However using Hannibal Lecter (Brian Cox), another serial killer, to infiltrate a murderer's mind exposes Graham to a powerful genius, leaving him fearful for his own mental health. Based on Thomas Harris' first story of Hannibal Lecter, Red Dragon, Manhunter introduced this popular character to an unsuspecting public. It remains a cult classic and as spine-tingling as both its sequels, The Silence of the Lambs and Hannibal, and is considered the most prominent landmark in Director Michael Mann's career.
