Synopsis:

PEEPER is a thoroughly enjoyable comedy-drama that brilliantly spoofs detective pictures from the 1940’s. The movie stars film veteran Michael Caine (Tucker) as a private eye hired by Anglich (Michael Constantine), a wealthy man trying to locate his long-lost daughter. Tucker's adventures are many and far flung as his sleuthing leads him to various encounters with a dizzying array of eccentric, and on occasion dangerous, characters. Tucker’s quest leads him to Ellen (Natalie Wood) and Mianne (Kitty Winn), two members of the decidedly unusual Prendergast Family. After a bit of deductive reasoning, Tucker determines that either Ellen or Mianne is Anglich's missing child... but which one? The answer to that conundrum makes for a highly entertaining film, filled with laughs and just a dash of terror.
