Synopsis:
Inseparable as children, brothers Joe and Frank, parted company after the loss of Joe’s farm to developers. Joe got married and joined the local Sheriff’s department, while Frank enlisted in the US army. Now Frank is home from Vietnam with a record of violence, a torso etched with tattoos and a pregnant young wife. To Joe, the reunion is a celebration and he hopes to change Frank’s vicious, destructive ways using the strength of their bond as brothers and with memories of happier days. Sean Penn makes his debut as a director.
