I OUGHT TO BE IN PICTURES
Libby Tucker hitchhiked from Brooklyn to take Hollywood by storm...and her father by surprise. After visiting the grave of her grandmother one last time -- she has been visiting daily since she passed away -- 19-year-old Libby sets off from Brooklyn for Hollywood, determined to be an actress...and, more importantly, to find her father, Herbert -- a Hollywood screenwriter who abandoned the family when she was just three years old. Herbert isn't too happy to see her. He's become quite comfortable with his life -- which mostly involves lots of alcohol and a less-than-honest relationship with his girlfriend, Stephanie. Libby wants to be a part of his life, and persists in establishing a relationship, as well as trying to help him clean up his act. Can father and daughter bridge the gulf that separates them?
