Synopsis:

For two young people, Joseph Donelly and Shannon Christie, there is no greater prize imaginable than the chance to possess their own land. It is a dream that runs like fire in their blood. The Ireland of their birth is a beautiful but divided country: tenant famers like Joseph begin at last to rebel against the cruel rents and evictions imposed by their landlords - men like Shannon’s father, who govern from remote estates and never see the land they own.
