Synopsis:

Sometimes it takes more than just good looks to kill. Buffy Summers (Kristy Swanson) is just an ordinary teenager - or so she thinks. She's a cheerleader. She loves shopping. She's got a nice, normal, life at the top of the high school food chain. However, there's something higher on the food chain than her... One night, Buffy meets Merrick (Donald Sutherland), a mysterious stranger who tells Buffy that her hometown is plagued by vampires, and that she is the chosen one, her generation's reincarnation of a pure female warrior - a Vampire Slayer. This Merrick guy is, like, totally a head case, right? Right? Soon after, kids in her school (including her friend Cassandra) turn up first missing, then dead with two little bite marks in their necks. To her horror, it soon becomes obvious that Merrick was telling the truth, and that Buffy must put aside her shopping and her cheerleading and embrace her destiny... as the Slayer. Popularity can wait.
