Synopsis:

THE FLY II begins from the tragic conclusion of the first film, The Fly. Seth Brundle, now totally transformed into a grotesque mutant, is killed by his lover, Veronica Quaife. However, Veronica is still left in a frightening situation. She is pregnant and she cannot tell if it is with Seth's child or with the child of the transformed mutant. During the years that follow, Martin Brundle (played by Eric Stoltz) grows up in the clinical environment of Bartok Industries under the watchful eye of Anton Bartok (Lee Richardson), the ruthless industrialist who owns his father's invention. Martin has accepted that he is little more than a specimen for study. A brilliant scientist in his own right, he has devoted his life to solving the mysteries of his father's teleportation device - until he meets Beth Logan (Daphne Zuniga), a feisty computer programmer who also feels isolated in her job with Bartok Industries. When the two fall in love, Martin feels for the first time a real desire to live. And when he learns that Bartok has other plans for him, he experiences massive frustration, then rage. As Martin's insect blood gradually begins to take control, he finds himself in a fierce battle to become human. It is a battle which erupts in the very depths of Bartok Industries as an enraged mutant, possessed of unimaginable strength and fueled by anger and feelings of betrayal, is finally given the means for revenge.
