Synopsis:
In Las Vegas, Maggie, a female croupier, learns that lymphoma will only leave her a few weeks to live. Hoping for a miracle, she sets out to visit a weeping Madonna statue in Italy that is known for its restorative powers. While hitchhiking to Trevino, she meets American pianist Mike and the two strike up a relationship. Unfortunately, the monsignor of the church orders the doors closed and the statue is discovered to be a fraud. As Maggie prays for a miracle, Mike departs to participate in a piano cometition in Naples.
