Synopsis:
Karl Childers is 'released' into the community after spending several decades in a mental hospital for the murder of his mother and her lover. His hometown, whilst wary, welcomes him with sympathy and understanding. Karl's lonely figure is soon befriended by Frank Wheatley a young fatherless boy. Karl makes the first tentative steps to learning how to trust people and reintegrate into town life just as it seems history is about to repeat itself.
