Kenny Rogers is Brewster Baker, a down on his luck stock car racer who has been off the circuit for two years. Just as he's about to make his comeback, he runs into a gang of orphans who, under pressure from a crooked sheriff, are applying their incredible mechanical skills towards a life of crime. Brewster reluctantly hires this expert family on as his pit crew as he faces off against his long-standing rival.
